our services
We offer three levels of service tailored to different types of projects. Complete a project inquiry and we’ll direct you to the best offering for your project type.
Full Service
Full Service projects typically involve the design of an entire home, from architectural finishes to accessories. Project managers oversee every step of the design and work closely with your architect and contractor to ensure all parties deliver in a timely manner. ZF team members are on site frequently to oversee construction work and other installs, such as window treatments, carpeting, wallpaper hanging, and more.
This is a white-glove offering, with the option to receive a truly turn-key end result by enlisting organizers and even stocking your home with your preferred home essentials. We take on a select number of full-service clients each year in order to allocate plenty of time to each project.
DEMI
Demi is a service tailored to clients who prefer to prioritize our designs and product over project management, and typically have smaller scopes of work and minimal construction. Unlike Full Service, clients are responsible for overseeing work by secondary vendors (contractors, electricians, window treatment installers, etc). We provide you with resources to oversee these vendors and will touch base with them if needed.
Like Full Service, we still create budgets and finish schedules, procure all furnishings, and coordinate a final install. Local clients have two to three on-site check-ins. Please note that we design full rooms only.
The Expert
The Expert platform allows anyone to schedule a one-hour virtual consultation with Zoë, to be used however the client wishes. Zoë is the most-booked, highest-rated Expert on the East Coast and in the top 20% worldwide.
This is an ideal resource for a wide range of clients who simply want design advice from a professional, including making paint color selections, assistance with space planning, getting product suggestions, overall creative direction, and more. Clients also get access to a large selection of trade-only vendors through The Expert and can shop curated products in Zoë’s online showroom.

Demi provides clients with expert designs and exclusive sourcing while leaving the day-to-day project oversight to you, so you can focus your budget more on product and less on hours. Because of this, Demi is best for projects that don’t require major construction.
We will select architectural finishes for projects that require contract work and provide you with documentation to hand over to your vendors of choice. If you’re interested in project management by our team, see Full Service.
Projects can be as small as one full room but usually include at least a few rooms.
We do not “finish” rooms that have been partially completed or just need final touches.

Full Service projects are managed by the ZF team at every stage of the process, including overseeing third-party vendors, and we are available to help with the bidding process when hiring architects and contractors. This is a truly white-glove service, where our designers and project managers handle everything from inspecting contract work to stocking bathrooms.
Full Service projects have multiple installations as the project progresses. For example, when a window treatment vendor needs to take measurements for custom shades, we meet them on site to measure, then oversee the installation process when they are ready. For Demi, elements that need to be completed prior to furniture installation (paint and wallpaper, handwired lighting, window treatments, custom carpets, and contract work) are overseen by the Demi client. We provide the client with guidance for monitoring these parts of the project. Local Demi clients receive one final furniture install managed by our team.
The majority of furnishings in Full Service projects are bespoke, artisan, and/or one-of-a-kind. Demi projects are semi-custom, with more products sourced retail, and a few custom design elements sprinkled throughout. This makes for a more flexible price point. See our per-room Demi pricing sheet for details on starting prices.

To start, we create a comprehensive project plan that includes a timeline, budget, and instructions for taking inventory of items you already own and would like to incorporate into the design. We also schedule a service to record existing measurements of the space.
We then create furniture layouts, develop design concepts, procure furniture and furnishings, provide detailed finish schedules, and coordinate a final installation. Before contract work starts, we hold a meeting to review our guidelines for managing contractors and address any questions or concerns you may have.
We coordinate a final install remotely, or can travel to the project site for an additional fee.

Yes! We are happy to incorporate your existing pieces into our designs. However, we do not style or put finishing touches on rooms that are already largely furnished.
-
We capture a virtual 3D walkthrough of every project site. This allows us to view existing conditions and “visit” your space at any time.
We coordinate the final install remotely, or can travel to the project site for an additional fee. All clients may request additional site visits for a fee.
